PROJECT BIJ VARSHA
Team Bhojpatra has launched an landmark initiative by donating 1 million seed balls to revive degraded landscape across India by 2026.
The Pro-Planet People of Team Bhojpatra aim to restore biodiversity, and support natural regeneration in vulnerable ecosystems with a key focus in combatting land degradation and desertification through data-driven, innovative, nature and community-based solutions. To reach and impact, our team uses GIS, hi-tech precision drone-based seed ball dispersal system which maps, identifies and targets inaccessible and large barren areas or landscapes which are heavily affected by invasive species of flora for rapid greening intervention.
At the moment, we aspire to collaborate with various government and non-government entities and contribute positively towards restoration and afforestation programmes across India.
Together we aim to create a streamlined, tech-enabled model of mass reforestation. This collaborative mission is proudly flagged as ‘Bij Varsha’, symbolizing a shower of seeds bringing new life. Through ‘Bij Varsha’, Bhojpatra aspires to inspire nationwide participation in restoring Earth’s fragile ecosystem on an urgent basis.
